All vehicles must pass technical inspection. Minimum safety equipment required includes helmets, fire extinguishers, and functional brakes.
Drivers must be 16+ years old with valid driver's license. First-time competitors may require additional safety briefing.
Entry fee includes tech inspection, timing, and results. Payment required at registration. Refunds subject to cancellation policy.

Street-legal high-performance vehicles driven to and from the event. Minimal modifications required; safety equipment mandatory.
Street-legal sport compact class. Vehicles must be road-registered and driven to the event under street regulations.
Sport class for performance vehicles with moderate modifications and street legal requirements.
Sport class for entry-level performance vehicles with limited modifications.
Street-legal muscle car and pony car class. American V8-powered vehicles competing in near-stock street trim.
Sport class for specialty and unique street-legal performance vehicles.
High-performance tuner class for extensively modified sport compacts and sedans.
Tuner class for turbocharged and supercharged sport compacts with significant modifications.
Tuner class for larger-displacement sport coupes and performance sedans with moderate modifications.
Tuner class for front-wheel-drive sport compacts competing with limited modifications within tuner regulations.
Entry-level tuner class for smaller sport cars and roadsters with minimal modifications.
M1-class vehicles running under restricted regulations. Max 1 cars running DOT 199 to 40 TW tires with CACC GCR Roll Cages are bumped to M1R.
High-performance modified vehicles — typically 1990s Japanese sports cars and muscle cars with significant engine and suspension work.
Modified vehicles with a focus on all-wheel-drive platforms and turbocharged engines. Popular with Subaru and Mitsubishi builds.
Lightweight modified vehicles including front-wheel-drive sport compacts with performance engine and chassis modifications.
Entry-level modified class for smaller-displacement sport compacts. Highly competitive with strong Honda and Toyota representation.
Modified class for older or lighter sport compacts and economy cars with performance modifications.
Unlimited-preparation class for high-powered purpose-built and heavily modified competition vehicles including exotics and supercars.
Unlimited class for unique or unconventional builds — lightweight specials, kit cars, and creative open-class entries.
Unlimited class for specialized competition vehicles and open-wheel racers.
Purpose-built formula cars, open-wheel racers, and sports racing machines competing under open specifications.
If you are registering an EV (electric vehicle), you will be entered in the EV subclass regardless of your primary class.
5/8 scale fiberglass race cars competing in the Legends racing series. Purpose-built, single-seat open-wheel vehicles designed for competitive hill climb racing.
Cars must be a minimum of 25 years old. Classic and vintage vehicles celebrating automotive heritage on Knox Mountain.
Available only to drivers who participated at KMHC prior to 2023 and using the same car that participated at Knox Mountain Hill Climb in 2023 or prior with no significant upgrades.
